I am an educator and communication professional based in Bangalore, India. I started my career as a telecom engineer but soon shifted gears to work first as a communication specialist and later as an educator. In 2012, I moved to Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka, South India where I lived and worked with government primary schools for over a year. This inspired me to use art as a medium for education. Over the years, I have worked with children experiencing social exclusion in government schools, special needs schools, remedial schools, and in disadvantaged communities. Through Hasiru Dala, an organization that works with informal waste workers in India, I currently manage Buguri Community Library, an after school library and art centre for over 200 children from the community. I also work at Radio Active 90.4 MHz, Bangalore’s first community radio station, producing shows on arts, education, culture and personal transformation. I write regularly for Teacher Plus, a magazine for contemporary teachers.
I hope you have a good time here and thank you for visiting!
